Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Quincy Homestead is a majestic residence that was first built in the 1680s. Over the years, the house was enlarged and enhanced with a stunning Georgian frontispiece and a gambrel roof, making it an prime example of the development of architectural styles in the Colonial era. Its interior features an array of period furnishings and other memorabilia looking back through regional history and the Quincy familial legacy that includes John Quincy Adams and other notable figures. The homestead is located just north of the Quincy History Museum, which resides in the 1872 Adams Academy building.
