This quaint country estate, built in the late 1700s by the prominent Quincy family, sports a Chinese fretwork balustrade and a rare monitor roof, the first known example from the Colonial era. On the interior of the Quincy House, visitors may look upon period photographs, furniture, and other items chronicling the Quincy family's proud legacy, which yielded three mayors of Boston and a university president. The house sits less than a mile west of Merrymount Park in northern Quincy.
